Dry Local Chicken cooked with Banana flower-The Rich & Wholesome Assamese Cuisine

Ingredients : (for 4 Person)
Key ingredients:
Banana Flower : 250grms ( finely chopped)
Chicken (Preferably Local Chicken) :400gms ( medium size pieces)
Required Masala/Herbs:
Bay Leaf : 1
Ginger-/garlic paste : 1 table spoon
Cumin powder : 1/2 table spoon
Coriander powder :1/2 table spoon
Oil : 2 table spoon (preferably mustard oil, you can use any oil)
Salt : as per taste
Turmeric : 1/2 table spoon
Chilli : 2( as per your taste, finely chopped)
Onion : 3 (roughly chopped)
Pepper (freshly grounded)
Method :
Heat oil in a Karadhi
Add bay leave
Add onion ( fry for 2 mints)
Add Ginger-Garlic paste( fry for 2/3 mints)
Add chilli
Add turmeric, cumin & coriander powder ( fry till the aroma & oil comes out from masala)
Then Add the chicken ( cook till the chicken got 1/2 cooked, near about 20 mints; if required you can add warm water)
Add Salt
Now add the banana flower (cooked the rest process in medium Heat almost for 20-25mint)
Add freshly grounded pepper just before switch off the blame
Best to serve with Steam Rice.
